I purchased this special coupe from my good friend Bruce Kelly of Lake Country Classics in Minneapolis in May of 2018, just two months before his passing. I flew back to Minneapolis to buy the car, had new tires installed, topped up the fluids and drove approximately 1,100 miles back to Upstate New York.
It has a clean Carfax. Purchased new in Florida, the 840 remained there until Bruce bought it and had it shipped to Minneapolis in the Summer of 2014.
I showed this car at the RADwood show in Philadelphia in October of 2018 where it was well received and garnered much attention.

A supremely capable and comfortable long distance cruiser and well mannered around town. I believe E31 Series 840 and 850 cars are poised to move in the market. Why? The introduction of the new BMW 8 series coupe last year and a huge display of these cars at Legends of the Autobahn last August in Monterey, with a new 8 series among them provided by BMW of North America, has rekindled interest in these special cars.
Photos just don’t do this BMW coupe design justice. With just shy of 100,000 miles, this is a very presentable driver that’s right at home on the casual show field or the open road.
