I personally drove this car back to Tobin Motor Works from the owner’s home in Pennsylvania, approximately 3 hours on the highway. I cruised at 70-75 mph most of the way on a 90 degree day in August, A/C blasting cold, so cold, in fact, that I had to turn it down. I sat in construction traffic, inching along, and I drove on various secondary roads. The car performed flawlessly throughout the journey. This is a sorted example of Mercedes’ iconic W123 diesel wagon. Condition and handling belies the almost 200,000 miles on the odometer.
Most mechanical restoration work performed by California based Mercedes W123 specialist Andrew Villasenor of “Andrew’s Mercedes Service”. Rear leveling valve rebuilt by Florida based Mercedes specialist,Pierre Hedary.
